What Is Concierge Medicine?
Concierge Medicine, or Personalized Care Practice, is a membership-based approach to primary care.
As a Personalized Care Family Practice, we charge an annual membership fee and limit our membership to a certain number of patients, which allows us to spend ample time with you per visit. Membership includes:
- 24/7 access to the doctor*
- Same-day or next-day appointments**
- Unhurried office visits with little or no waiting time
- Care coordination with specialists and with the inpatient team if you need to go to the hospital
- Point-of-care tests and other screenings, as necessary
- Telehealth/virtual visits
Should you need lab work or diagnostic imaging tests, we will refer you to a lab or imaging facility that participates with your insurance plan. If we determine you need to see a specialist, we will provide you with a referral and coordinate your care with that doctor.
*Doctor is not always available to immediately respond due to illness or other circumstances.
**Subject to office hours and availability. Most patients can be seen within 24 hours.
Executive-Style Physicals Included
One of the chief benefits of a concierge membership practice is the executive physical. This is a more comprehensive physical, often designed for companies and their employees, that exceeds the standard annual physical exam and aims at identifying health problems well before symptoms surface.
An executive physical includes a variety of screening measures, including questionnaires, measurements by instrumentation, lab testing, and diagnostic imaging – all of which are then used to formulate a plan specific to your individual needs. Your customized plan will aim to improve your overall health and well-being and diminish the risk of developing chronic conditions in the future.
